Barefoot and hula hooping at the airport.
Its how St Croix girls do.

Up From 350ft

So, we did a dive to 350ft.
That's a little over 11 1/2 times atmospheric pressure.
It felt deep, and there was no bottom to be seen. We were truly along the edge of the island.
This is a print out of our dive profile. The black line is our depth over time.

Afterwards we went and took a peek at St Croix's new hyperbaric chamber!
Hopefully I'll never need to be inside.

Serendipitous Reunion

Lisa saw some pictures on Facebook from a fellow Camp Sequoia counselor who was traveling in the Caribbean. Turns out she was on St Croix!
We met her on the beach and swiped her away from her hosts for a hike up to the lighthouse for sunset.
She was even brave(?) enough to climb up to the top.
We then took her home to where she was staying and got invited to dinner for Korean barbecue. She writes for Cook's Illustrated and her hosts are contributing chefs and food importers.
It was pretty tasty.

Old BlackBeard

This might be the label that was once on the rum bottle from a few posts back.

Big Day

My nephew Will got to go for his first dive today.
Which means the Johnson bros got to do their first dive together.
Afterwards we stopped by to have a beer with the pigs, then went up to the farm for dinner.
 Fish caught that morning
 Lamb slaughtered that afternoon
And all kinds of deliciousness from the farm picked that day
We're finally getting in to mango season!
That means its almost passionfruit season, too!
I can't wait!

Heineken Barge

The family was invited aboard the Heineken barge for an afternoon cruise
 to Buck Island.
We anchored and most everyone swam ashore
except for my parents who chose a more romantic option.
They then gathered on the beach
while me and the Dumplins snuck in a quick band practice.
And we were back in the harbor for a nice sunset.
Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

BVI Crew 2

After a stormy evening
and a quick stop at Foxy's,
we stopped for some snorkeling before heading back to St Croix.
