What A Crepe Day
Lisa and LauraLee made crepes for brunch
Caramelized onion and emmental cheese crepes were followed by sweet cheese crepes with blueberry compote.
I'm really glad I managed to have a day off!

Easy (like a Sunday afternoon)
I got done with diving and filling tanks early enough to hop on a boat
and head out
past some beautiful scenery
to anchor by a remote beach for some shell collecting
and music making
aboard the Heineken barge.
All this sacrifice is worth it for smiles like this.

Crush Depth
Got to do a dive to 300ft today!
Some last minute checks, then clipping on all 5 tanks (the big ones are on my back) and waddling over the back of the boat.
We decided to test an "indestructible" heavy duty water bottle.
It only made it to 211ft.

Running Down a Dream
On Sunday I was very relieved to learn that I do not have any form of bee allergy after being swarmed by bees and collecting 11 stings. After determining that I was fine, I channeled my inner Hermes (with some help from my feather-collecting friend, LauraLee) and ran the Women's Race.
I came in 23rd out of 261 participants and was 5th in my age group. I also shaved one minute off my best previous 2 mile time.
I think it was the feathers.

Harbor Treasure
I found a coffee pot.
The black tarnish and very thin construction make me wonder if its silver.
I don't think I'll try to clean it, though.
Its nice to have some mystery about these things.

A Quick Trip To 220ft
where we found a massive old anchor dropped during the plantation era
I'm considering a recovery plan.

Joined The Club Today
After killing hundreds of lion fish with no problems, today I got stung on the finger.
This is before the swelling got really bad.
And its caught on video.
At the beginning of the vid I look up and see one of two sharks coming for the lionfish on my spear. I hurry to get it off and get stung. After I get it off, I kick it away because the shark's still coming, but it turns and at the end, shark #2 gets it.
Then later on the boardwalk some guy shows up with bagpipes
to salute the Saharan-dusty sunset.
You just never can tell around here.
