Bath Day

The Baths on Virgin Gorda!

After following a trail through tunnels of granite

and by giant boulders

and through some tight squeezes we came out on the beach at Devil's Bay

where we put on masks and fins and snorkeled our way back.

Jost

After checking in to the BVIs on Tortola we sailed across to White Bay on Jost Van Dyke.

There was plenty of room at the Soggy Dollar.

Which meant no waiting to try a hand at the well worn ring game.

Kindred Crew

I got a phone call asking if I'd be available to work as First Mate aboard Kindred Spirit for a weekend charter to the BVIs

After a nasty start the weather cleared and we picked up our guests on St Thomas. We then headed to St John to spend the night in Leinster Bay.

Sometimes it pays to answer the phone.

Worst Job Ever

Part of my job today involved running offshore to a tanker to pick up a couple of "wall-washers".

Their job is to climb down into the holding tanks onboard the tanker to clean and inspect to make sure that any new petroleum product that gets loaded in won't be contaminated by whatever was in there previously.
