Cashew Tree
Who knew? Cashews grow here and look crazy.
The nut dangling from the bottom of the "apple" is potentially poisonous until it's roasted, but the apple is sweet and too fragile for transport. They're ripe when the fruit turns sort of yellow-orange.
It tastes kind of like a hog plum.

Needle In The Hay
When we find chaney it's hard not to wonder how the little shards fit in to the whole picture, let alone the history of the plate or bowl itself.
While looking around on the interwebs, I learned of an old 18th century china pattern called Willow ware. Evidently we've found a few pieces of it.
and now we get to see the whole picture.
