Its deep and fluffy like ankle-deep snow!
This season's storms (most notably Earl) stripped nearly all of the sand from the beaches on the western side of the island.
A big slow swell for the last few days has pushed a lot of sand back where it belongs! In fact the ridge on the left of this picture is where the beach stopped last week. The woman sitting on the sand would've been 3 or 4 feet under water.
Its a good time to visit.
