Salt Island, B.V.I,

 We dinghied ashore in front of the only structures on the island.
 They used to be occupied by a family that lived there for generations- one of the last being Hard Hat Henry who always wore a hard hat after several assaults by falling coconuts knocked him a little loopy.
 Right behind the palm trees is a wide shallow salt pond.
 As the sea water evaporates over the summer each year, it leaves behind salt-encrusted sand
 of which I now have a bowlful.

Found Another Anchor

This one's only at 60ft.
I swam out from the reef a bit to shoot a lion fish, and out on the edge of visibility saw a line that was a little too straight. I went over to take a look and found this anchor that was apparently cut free after getting stuck under some coral a long long time ago.
