I'll Miss The Bees

Christmas eve started with Rascal waking us up to warn us about the spaceman in the yard.
Mr. Chichester has come to crate the beehive and eventually take them away to be put to work making honey to help the non-locals with their allergies.

This is their temporary spot 'til they settle in to the new digs.
You may wonder if its wise to stand so close and take pictures of a man pulling apart a beehive.
No.
It isn't.

Boat Parade!

It started with a flyover by the Seaplanes.
It seemed like the whole island was packed onto the boardwalk.
Then the boats came by- most blaring christmas music and horns, some with bands playing on their decks, all of them decked out with all the lights they could manage to get onboard.
After that, fireworks!
Then the party started.

Here are a couple of dueling bands getting a little too close.
And... video.

The Bottom of Salt River

Couldn't see past my elbows.
The string is so I didn't get lost.

The worst is that I have to go back.
